Mango Mohanthal

Ingredients

250g besan
2 tbsp milk
2 tbsp ghee
250g ghee
400g sugar
100g mango khoya
For mango khoya:-
80g mango pulp
20g milk
1 tbsp ghee
Water as required
8-10 saffron threads
1 tsp cardamom powder
1/2 tsp nutmeg powder
1 tbsp charoli seeds

Method

Sieve the besan in a bowl. Mix ghee and milk and heat it slightly. Then add the above mixture to the flour, mix it lightly and mix the flour using your both palms.
Heat ghee in a pan, add milk powder and cook for 1-2 minutes.  Then add mango pulp and mix well. Then take it in a bowl.
Heat ghee in a pan, add besan and roast till it turns pink. Turn off the gas and keep stirring the mixture. Then add mango khoya and mix well. Keep stirring till all the moisture evaporate. By doing this you will get a crunchy mixture.
In a saucepan add sugar and water to make a syrup of 2.5 strings. Then  add the saffron threads.
Add the prepared syrup to the roasted besan mixture, mix well and keep stirring till the mixture thickens. Then add cardamom and nutmeg and mix well. After it cools down a bit, cut it into your favorite shape and garnish it with charoli seeds and let it set overnight.
